Molly Andrews Burke
As a child, Molly rearranged her room constantly, seemingly fixated on presentation. Years later she fell in love with textiles from Guatemala and India, realizing that color and pattern spoke to her. While living at 10th & Broadway in NYC immediately following college, Molly bumped into the creations of John Derian, John Robshaw, Virginia Johnson & Hable Construction.
With Chairloom, Molly has gained great satisfaction in introducing our client base to her favorite textiles artists. Working with clients to create that one of a kind piece makes Molly tick.
Molly is hands on in the Chairloom showroom, meeting clients, placing fabric orders, coordinating deliveries and constantly thinking about furniture storage issues.
Molly loves meeting the textile artists and promoting their work. Molly loves the application of the textile with the furniture!
Kelly Croce Sorg
Kelly's love of textiles began with two quilting grandmothers and continued growing up amidst her mother's knack for home decorating.
Kelly's attraction to Chairloom began as a client herself, custom designing vintage pieces with her husband Jeff for their home. She was enamored with the transformation and rebirth the furniture experienced when paired with a freshly designed fabric. Working with Chairloom has been a dream realized.
Her favorite moments are empowering her clients to trust their own sense of taste and integrating them and their heirlooms into the design process. Add in their kids and pets and Kelly loves fearlessly using beautiful yet durable and cleanable fabrics in high-traffic areas thus making design accessible, useful, pleasing and fun for everyday life.
Renewed passion for Kelly's work is easy -- with so many exciting fabrics each season and all over the world plus a treasure trove of mid-century, vintage and custom pieces at Chairloom, there is endless inspiration and vibrant design in perpetuity.
Melissa’s appreciation for beautiful fabric began at a young age during trips with her mother to Philadelphia’s fabric row. As a teenager, frustrated that she could not find the perfect prom dress at any department store, she sewed her own using yards of vintage white jacquard.
When Melissa bought her first home, she realized how seamlessly her love for fabric translated to interior design. Happily, she discovered Chairloom while hunting for the perfect pair of chairs for her home. First a client then a fanatic, she became addicted to finding vintage furniture she could transform.
At Chairloom, Melissa enjoys helping her clients discover beautiful textiles that showcase their personal style. She loves seeing her client’s treasured heirlooms get a second life. She believes a funky piece of furniture or an unexpected textile (or both!) makes every room better.
