Chairs by the Creek

Over Labor Day weekend Molly set a series of chairs along the wooded creek next to her farmhouse. She strung dozens of swatches from the test color blankets for our new textile, Garden Matrix, up in the branches of the trees.

She invited friends over to gather together to celebrate the end of summer and ring in the “new year” of autumn as school prepared to begin.

Many of the swatches are experimental colorways that will never be produced as full yardage. We tested over 25 color combinations before we found the three we ultimately produced. We love seeing the way the pattern changes, sometimes quiets, sometimes shouts in different palettes.
